This was something I debated on for a while, but finally, I think I'm realizing it's a no-brainer: I've updated the little Random Game Finder (aka: Game Randomizer) to only bring up a batch of games that have been deemed "featured" by sources that are not wholly important... but it's not me! I only say that as a bit of a disclaimer in case some of the games are crap and you hold me accountable for your wasted time! :P

Soon enough, I'll be going through the games better (and adding a massive amount of new games, as though you need more than 6,000+!?) and sifting out my own favorites and recommended games. Until then, you will have much better luck finding great games to play if you mess around with the Randomizer.

Holy cow, the past month +.5 has been really rough. I've done a lot of work on the back end of this site as well as the Bragfile.com network (more on what that is later). I mean a lot, lot, lot of work... it's tested my resolve, to say the least.

However, the light hath shone through! Woot! I can't believe it, but all this hard work has paid off in spades. Namely:

Well, that's certainly not the end of it all. For starters, there are all those games sorted into a dozen categories. You can play them all you want for free, even without an account, but please consider signing up since things will get cooler later. (Again, more details later.)

Ack. This has been a real pain in the rump to get everything set up around here (and elsewhere). Along with technical issues arising, I'm just flat changing my mind about things, so that's not helping. Here's the latest development:

I've decided that Pointless Games will go back to my early/original vision of hosting mainly games that are truly "pointless" in nature. That includes games like The Idiot Button, which I'll put in here momentarily. I still have to work out getting site score boards working, so I'm not going to add too many more games until that's online. Please hang on to your patience horses until which time that happens.

Other than that, I've farmed off all the "other" games to another site that will be intended as a massive (eventually) arcade site. The goal there will be to include tons of games, but not necessarily following the specific theme of "pointless" or whatever. That site is FlashGamePost.com. I'll put up more obvious links onces it's built up better.

So, hopefully you'll hang on for the longer ride, even though stuff is looking somewhat weak at the moment. I'll explain more of the bigger picture soon.

I've been working every night to get this huge update going. There are three (or four?) sites that will all update roughly at the same time, so it's a big deal to get things right.

I know it's been a week already (almost), but I assure you, I'm working very hard to get this stuff done. I'm running into several snags that have delayed things a bit. Sucky!

However, I'm making progress and I hope to have some goodies real soon now. For now, I'm out of energy again and have to go to sleep for a while. 4:33am by my clock... I think that's late enough for today. It's much better than the 7:00 am I hit the other day, though!

Hey. Sorry again about the mess. I can only do so much work each day and I am a very poor professional when it comes to doing all my work offline and only uploading everything when it's "ready". Oh no... I do almost everything live, right on the main website.

Yeah, that annoys a lot of you. However, it's something that a greater number of visitors have told me was kind of interesting and fun to watch! I know it's a mess like this, but it's the easiest way to do updates/changes without adding extra overhead to the whole development process.

Please don't tell any professional web devs out there or they'll just flame me. I don't need that -- and I don't really care in this case. :P

Anyway, I'll be sorting out some theme issues soon and try to get something looking better as soon as I can. For now, the better-looking old front page is missing, along with a couple other pages I used to have. I'll get them online ASAP. Coming soon after that should be a bunch of new games, so wish me luck!

...or whatever. Just "Happy" and insert whatever else you want in there. :P
